This profile is from a human altered area where thick (63 inches) sandy fill (anthro-transported) has been placed over a poorly drained Massasoit soil. The upper fill horizon (0 to 12 inches) consists of mixed mineral and organic material, the lower fill material is clean coarse sand. Below the sandy fill is a buried Massasoit soil with the following morphology: A-Eg-Bs-Bhs-C.
