Oe--2 to 6 cm; black (7.5YR 2.5/1) rubbed; common medium roots throughout and common fine roots throughout and common very fine roots throughout and few very coarse roots throughout and few coarse roots throughout; clear wavy boundary.

A--6 to 11 cm; very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) interior; weak medium granular structure; very friable; many fine roots throughout and many very fine roots throughout and common coarse roots throughout and common medium roots throughout; abrupt wavy boundary.

C3--28 to 114 cm; light olive brown (2.5Y 5/3); massive; friable, nonsticky, nonplastic; 15 percent very coarse distinct cylindrical light olive gray (5Y 6/2), moist, iron depletions with sharp boundaries lining pores and 10 percent coarse distinct cylindrical yellowish brown (10YR 5/4), moist, masses of oxidized iron with clear boundaries in matrix surrounding redox depletions and 2 percent medium prominent irregular dark brown (7.5YR 3/2), moist, iron-manganese masses with sharp boundaries throughout; Redox features of the C3 are vertical depletions surrounding a dead root (pore) with concentrations surrounding the depletions.; clear wavy boundary.
