Oi-- 1 to 0 inches; fibric material; abrupt smooth boundary. Non-decomposed twigs and leaves

 

Ap1-- 0 to 8.5 inches; very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) very fine sandy loam; common fine dark reddish brown (5YR 3/2), few fine dark grayish brown (10YR 4/2), and few fine light olive brown (2.5Y 5/3) mottles; weak fine and medium granular structure; friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine and fine roots; 4.6; abrupt smooth boundary.

 

Ap2--8.5 to 13.5 inches; very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) very fine sandy loam; common medium and coarse yellowish brown (10YR 5/4), common fine and medium strong brown (7.5YR 5/8), and few fine dark grayish brown (10YR 4/2) mottles; massive; friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine roots; 4.6; abrupt smooth boundary. Pockets and lenses of fine sand that are associated with the high chroma mottles.

 

C--13.5 to 24 inches; dark gray (10YR 4/1) silt loam; common medium and coarse very dark gray (10YR 3/1) and few fine brown (7.5YR 4/3) mottles; massive; friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine roots; 5.2; abrupt smooth boundary. Bright mottles located along old root channels; roots only in the upper part.

 

Ab--24 to 31 inches; very dark gray (7.5YR 3/1) mucky silt loam; common fine and medium dark gray (10YR 4/1) mottles; massive; friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; 5.6; abrupt smooth boundary. Thin strata fine and very fine sand (10YR 4/1).
