Oi-- 1 to 0 inches; fibric material; abrupt wavy boundary. nondecomposed leaves, pine needles, and twigs

Oe-- 0 to 3.5 inches; dark reddish brown (5YR 3/2) and dark reddish brown (5YR 3/2), crushed, and brown (7.5YR 4/4), pyrophosphate extract, partially decomposed organic matter; massive; very friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common medium and coarse roots and common very fine and fine; 65.0 percent fiber unrubbed; 30.0 percent fiber rubbed; 3.8 Bromcresol green; 3.5 pH meter 1:2 calcium chloride; abrupt wavy boundary.

Oa1-- 3 to 13 inches; very dark gray (5YR 3/1) and black (N 2/0), crushed, and dark brown (7.5YR 3/2), pyrophosphate extract, sapric material; massive; friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine and fine roots and common medium and coarse; 40.0 percent fiber unrubbed; 15.0 percent fiber rubbed; 4.2 Bromcresol green; 3.8 pH meter 1:2 calcium chloride; clear wavy boundary.
