A-- 2 to 10 inches; very dark gray (10YR 3/1) fine sandy loam; common coarse faint dark gray (10YR 4/1) mottles; weak medium granular structure; very friable; common fine and medium roots; 4.8 LaMotte-Morgan; abrupt smooth boundary. in the lower part of a horizon
