Ap-- 0 to 12 inches; dark brown (10YR 3/3) fine sandy loam; weak medium and coarse subangular blocky structure; very friable; common coarse roots and common fine and medium and common very fine; 6.0 Bromthymol blue; 10 percent subrounded gravel; abrupt smooth boundary. 7% fine gravel; 3% coarse gravel.

 

Bw1--12 to 21 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) sandy loam; massive; very friable; common very fine and fine roots; 5.8 Chlorophenol red; 10 percent subrounded gravel; clear wavy boundary. Few 1cm wide verticle worm casts 10YR 3/3; 7% fine gravel; 3% coarse gravel.

 

Bw2--21 to 27 inches; light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4) gravelly loamy sand; massive; loose; common very fine roots; 5.8 Chlorophenol red; 17 percent subrounded gravel; abrupt wavy boundary. few 1cm wide verticle worm casts 10YR 3/3; 15% fine gravel; 2% coarse gravel.

 

2C1--27 to 39 inches; light olive brown (2.5Y 5/3) very fine sandy loam; massive; friable; common very fine and fine roots; 5.8 Chlorophenol red; 1 percent subrounded gravel; clear wavy boundary. lenses of coarser material lfs sand (2.5Y 5/4)

 

2C2--39 to 49 inches; olive gray (5Y 5/2) silt loam; weak fine platy structure; firm; 6.2 Bromthymol blue; 1 percent subrounded gravel; clear wavy boundary. 1mm bands of ls material; common 1.1 dead roots.

 

2C3--49 to 75 inches; olive gray (5Y 5/2) silt loam; massive; firm; 6.4 Bromthymol blue. 49-52" rust line 10YR 4/6 horizontal throughout pedon; soil became wet below 52".
