Bw1-- 1 to 18 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) fine sandy loam; massive; very friable; common fine and medium roots throughout and common medium and coarse throughout; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; 3 percent subrounded mixed cobbles and 5 percent subrounded mixed gravel; clear wavy boundary.

Bw2--18 to 28 inches; light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4) fine sandy loam; massive; friable; common coarse roots throughout and common fine and medium throughout; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; 5 percent subrounded mixed gravel and 5 percent subrounded mixed cobbles; clear wavy boundary.

Cd1--28 to 39 inches; light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4) sandy loam; few medium distinct dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4) mottles; weak medium subangular blocky structure; firm; common medium and coarse roots throughout and common very fine throughout; common very fine moderate continuity vesicular pores; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; 10 percent subangular gravel and 5 percent subangular cobbles and 5 percent subangular stones; gradual wavy boundary. 1" wide, vertical and horizontal in Cd2, 2" round in Cd1; pockets (flow paths) 2.5Y 6/2; sil texture; high chroma mottles surround pockets
