Oe--5 to 0 centimeters (2.0 to 0.0 inches); mucky peat; abrupt smooth boundary.

Ap--0 to 20 centimeters (0.0 to 7.9 inches); brown (10YR 4/3) loamy sand; weak medium subangular blocky structure; very friable, nonsticky, nonplastic; common very fine and fine roots and common medium and coarse roots; 1 percent subrounded 75- to 250-millimeter mixed igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rock fragments and 5 percent subrounded 2- to 75-millimeter mixed igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rock fragments; abrupt smooth boundary.
