Oi--0 to 5 centimeters (0.0 to 2.0 inches); throughout; very strongly acid, pH 4.8, Bromcresol green; many fine to coarse roots throughout; abrupt wavy boundary.

Oe--5 to 6 centimeters (2.0 to 2.4 inches), Bromcresol green; many, fine to coarse roots throughout; clear wavy boundary.

AE--6 to 9 centimeters (2.4 to 3.5 inches); gray (10YR 5/1) sandy loam, loamy sand; moderate medium granular structure; very friable, Bromcresol green; many, fine to coarse roots throughout; abrupt wavy boundary.
