A-- 0 to 1 inches; very dark gray (10YR 3/1) sandy loam; massive; very friable; common fine roots throughout; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; abrupt broken boundary.

Bw1-- 1 to 8 inches; dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4) sandy loam; massive; very friable; common coarse roots throughout and common fine and medium; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; 5 percent subangular mixed cobbles and 5 percent subangular mixed stones; clear wavy boundary.

Bw2-- 8 to 21 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) loamy sand; massive; very friable; common fine to coarse roots throughout and common medium; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; 10 percent subangular mixed stones and 5 percent subrounded mixed gravel and 5 percent subrounded mixed cobbles; clear wavy boundary.

Cd--21 to 31 inches; light yellowish brown (2.5Y 6/4) sandy loam; weak medium subangular blocky structure; firm; common medium roots in cracks; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; 20 percent subrounded mixed gravel and 5 percent subangular mixed stones and 5 percent subrounded mixed cobbles; gradual wavy boundary. 3 inch wide vertical channel of gls material - loose in 2Cd1 and 2Cd2 - see correlation sample

2Cd2--47 to 60 inches; light yellowish brown (2.5Y 6/4) sandy loam; weak medium subangular blocky structure; extremely firm; 5.4 Chlorophenol red; 10 percent subrounded mixed cobbles and 15 percent subangular mixed gravel. 2Cd2-few faint HC mottles around coarse fragments; saprolite (black) in 2Cd3
