Oi--2.5 to 1 inches; abrupt wavy boundary.

 

Oe-- 1 to 0.5 inches; dark reddish brown (5YR 3/2) ; massive; very friable; abrupt wavy boundary.

 

Oa--0.5 to 0 inches; very dark gray (5YR 3/1) ; weak fine granular structure; very friable; common very fine roots and common fine; 4.8 LaMotte-Morgan; abrupt smooth boundary.

 

E-- 0 to 0.5 inches; dark gray (10YR 4/1) fine sandy loam; massive; very friable; common very fine roots and common fine and common medium; 4.9 LaMotte-Morgan; abrupt wavy boundary.

BC--22 to 26 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) loamy sand; few medium prominent yellowish red (5YR 5/8) mottles; massive; very friable; common very fine roots and common fine and medium; 5.2 LaMotte-Morgan; 10 percent subrounded gravel and 2 percent subrounded cobbles; clear wavy boundary.

 

2Cd--26 to 48 inches; 75 percent reddish brown (2.5YR 5/3) and 25 percent pale red (2.5YR 6/2) gravelly sandy loam; weak coarse platy structure; firm; common fine vesicular pores; 5.4 LaMotte-Morgan; 25 percent subangular gravel and 5 percent subangular cobbles and 2 percent subangular stones. Windblown sands over compact glacial till; firm in place, friable when removed; 5/3 areas more silty, finer texture - 6/2 areas sandy, LS texture; silt caps and sand beds associated with coarse fragments in the Cd horizon.
