Oe-- 0 to 2 inches; very dark brown (10YR 2/2) partially decomposed organic matter; moderate medium granular structure; very friable; common very fine and fine roots throughout; 4.8 LaMotte-Morgan; abrupt smooth boundary.

A-- 2 to 4 inches; black (10YR 2/1) very fine sandy loam; weak fine granular structure; very friable; common medium and coarse roots and common fine throughout; 5.2 LaMotte-Morgan; 3 percent subangular mixed gravel and 5 percent subangular mixed cobbles; gradual wavy boundary. thin discontinuous A/B horizon

Bw2--16 to 28 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) very fine sandy loam; weak medium subangular blocky structure; friable; common fine and medium roots; 5.2 LaMotte-Morgan; 3 percent subangular mixed gravel and 5 percent subangular mixed cobbles; clear wavy boundary.
