Notes: Red & white oak, black cherry, huckleberry, oak fern. Samples taken of the sand Bw1 horizon (sand 55.23%, silt 34.32%, and clay 10.44%) and the 2C1 horizon (sand 94.06%, silt 5.74% and clay 0.2%) for textural analysis.

Oe-- 0 to 1.5 inches; dark reddish brown (5YR 3/2) partially decomposed organic matter; weak fine and medium granular structure; very friable; common very fine roots throughout; 4.0 LaMotte-Morgan; abrupt wavy boundary. ( 1 to 2 inches; 1 inches)

A-- 1 to 2 inches; dark brown (7.5YR 3/2) very fine sandy loam; weak fine and medium granular structure; very friable; common very fine roots throughout; 4.2 LaMotte-Morgan; abrupt wavy boundary. ( 1 inches)
