Ap-- 0 to 3 inches; 85 percent very dark brown (10YR 2/2) and 10 percent yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) and 5 percent black (5Y 2/1) loamy fine sand; massive; friable; common very fine roots; 5.0 Bromcresol green; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; abrupt wavy boundary. Small discrete areas of different color, believed to be the result of mechanical mixing; 0% gravel throughout.

C-- 3 to 20 inches; 50 percent brownish yellow (10YR 6/6) and 45 percent yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) and 5 percent strong brown (7.5YR 5/8) fine sand; single grain; loose; 5.6 Chlorophenol red; abrupt wavy boundary. Small discrete areas of different color, believed to be the result of mechanical mixing; 0% gravel throughout.

Ab--20 to 24 inches; very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) loamy fine sand; common fine prominent dark reddish brown (5YR 3/4) and common fine prominent light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4) mottles; massive; friable; 5.2 Chlorophenol red; abrupt smooth boundary. 0% gravel throughout
