Oi-- 0 to 1.6 inches; fibric material; clear wavy boundary. Oi horizon consists of an upper litter (Duff) layer & a lower fibric layer (undecomposed pine & twig matter).

Oe--1.6 to 2.8 inches; dark reddish brown (5YR 3/2) and dark reddish brown (5YR 3/3), rubbed, hemic material; common very fine to medium roots and common coarse; clear wavy boundary.

A--2.8 to 5.6 inches; 70 percent (10YR 3/) and 30 percent light brownish gray (10YR 6/2) loamy sand; loose, nonsticky and nonplastic; common very fine roots and common fine and medium and common coarse; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; 1 percent subangular mixed-igneous-metamorphic & sedimentary gravel; clear wavy boundary.

2Cd--46.4 to 72 inches; light gray (2.5Y 7/2) gravelly sandy loam; very firm, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; common very fine and fine moderate continuity vesicular pores; 5.0 Chlorophenol red; distinct patchy light gray (2.5Y 7/2), moist, silt coats on upper surfaces of peds or rocks; 13 percent subangular mixed-igneous-metamorphic & sedimentary gravel and 5 percent subangular mixed-igneous-metamorphic & sedimentary cobbles and 1 percent subangular mixed-igneous-metamorphic & sedimentary stones. Cd - till ranges from 180-116 cm in pit.
