A soil core from a mainland cove landform in 5 feet of water from Point
Judith Pond, Rhode Island showing 4 major geologic events: Deposition of till
starting at 130 cm, post-glacial eolian loess deposit at approximately 1 meter,
fresh-water organic deposition (interpreted as an Atlantic white cedar swamp) at
40 cm and marine silts being deposited to the surface.
