Deerfield soils are moderately well drained soils formed in sandy glacial outwash deposits. Measuring tape is in meters, the profile has a loamy sand Ap horizon 0 to 30 cm thick, a loamy sand Bw horizon 30 to 50 cm thick, and a sand C horizon with many redox concentrations which correlate with the depth to water table (EASHWT) at 50 cm.
