Notes:
A teaspoon of productive soil generally contains between 100 million and 1 billion bacteria. Organisms play an important role in redoximorphic formation, reducing oxygen, nitrogen, iron, and other minerals to complete their life cycle. Earthworms mix soil and create large pores which help transmit water and oxygen. Humans use soil for building houses and obtaining the raw materials needed for building things.
