Hydrology of Fluvial Deposits:

Sketch by Pete Fletcher

Notes:

Apparent water tables associated with fluvial soils make wetland delineations easier than with till or lacustrine soils. Elevation is the key for determining hydrologic properties of fluvial soils. Due to the sandy nature of fluvial soils, hydric soil identification is difficult, many fluvial soils are considered problem soils for hydric soil determination.
